Hand Painted Furniture
One of our favourite aspects of painting and decorating. With so many styles and periods to work with I find this part of our work really enjoyable, experimenting with different styles and colours and bringing these old and discarded furniture back to life.
The furniture I have restored range from :
With many various new pieces on the way, as part of our new collection in collaboration with local Artists, as well as our new work space and exhibition area coming soon!
We have completed many Projects over the years from commercial :
The past 4 years we have been part of the subcontractors on various Brewdog bars projects around the country from Aberdeen / Edinburgh /London /Cambridge /Oxford and Manchester.
Local projects have ranged from the jailhouse at CaultyBraggan Camp / local shop fronts and business in Creiff and Glasgow.
One of our recent projects has been a feature room. This child’s bedroom was designed by and paint by us using Farrow & Ball paints with handmade stencils of Star wars images, stippled painted.
When we start a hand painted kitchen and agree the colour design, the 1st thing is to primer the units using Zinnser products followed by a base coat with two top coats ( usually a Eggshell) An finishing coat of Matt varnish.
I learnt Faux painting during my 12 years in Spain. And have continued using that experience on various projects on the Bar projects, bedroom wardrobe units and furniture.
This area of painting has ranged from shop fronts to residential soffets and fascias. Local projects have ranged from D. Kelly Accountants in Crieff and shop fronts in Comrie. And local Homes.
